Do They Know It’s Christmas? 0

Yes, it’s that time of the year. Christmas is almost here. Thou there’s still no snow here (getting steadily colder thou) its in the air, the feeling. In two days it will be 3rd Advent and 30 Rock featured awesome Christmas episode last night. Thou that’s partially thanks to Julianne Moore gueststarring.

But anyway, thats not the point. As far as I can remember every Christmas there have been a new iteration of classic Band Aid “Do They Know it’s Christmas?”, and this year is no exception. Well, other then the fact that this years is one the most kickass yet. Recorded by Fucked Up it features voices (and not only) of Yo La Tengo, GZA, Tegan & Sara (<3), Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend, Bob Mould and more. All the profit goes for benefit of Justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, DTES Power of Women Group and Sisters in Spirit. So go ahead and grab your copy on itunes. That is – those that have itunes available in their countries. Rest – listen to it here.

U2 360, Frankfurt ‘010 0

So.. YAY! Big fuckin’ yay! Yet another chance to see the awesome U2 360 show and sing my heart out. Just managed to secure my tickets for next years Frankfurt show in presale after google-translating my way through eventim (though I’ve studied German back in elementary school I remember shit, and in this case I wouldn’t trust my “I think it means…” sense this time). Yeah, well, its kinda almost year away, but it’s definitely smth to look forward to. Especially considering the awesome Commerzbank Arena and the fact that I’ve never been to Germany so far and most definitely the fact that its U2. Also as of now it seems ther’s quite a “few” of us going that way considering the maaajor fuckup that Helisnki and some other ticket sales were.

Well, in short term now its just wait and see when presale for tours final show in Coimbra (thats in Portugal fyi) will be announced. Would kill to see that, considering how amazing closing gigs have been so far for U2 (take Vertigo’s Hawaii gig back in 2006 as an example).
